  • What is the MBE?
    The Mass Black Expo (MBE), hosted by the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts (BECMA), is the Commonwealth’s premier event for showcasing Black businesses, organizations, and allies committed to fostering an equitable economy. Mass Black Expo 2024: Building Black Wealth; Empowering Black Voices is a two-day immersive experience that brings together hundreds of Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals with purchasing opportunities, capacity-building resources, and skill and career advancement options. The Mass Black Expo is an opportunity for residents of the Commonwealth to convene and share ideas to realize a more productive, inclusive, and equitable economy.
  • When and where is the MBE?
    On October 25 - 26, the MBE will be held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, located in the Seaport neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The address is 415 Summer Street, Boston, MA 02210. The program will feature special events, curated experiences, and panel discussions around the key issues impacting and affecting the future of Black wealth.
  • Is the MBE for all ages?
    Yes, the MBE is open to individuals of all ages. We welcome attendees of all generations to join us in celebrating and supporting Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurship in Massachusetts.
  • Who is BECMA?
    The Black Economic Council of Massachusetts (BECMA) is a statewide, member-based organization whose mission is to drive economic equity and prosperity for Massachusetts to achieve inclusive growth through advocacy, programming, and strategic partnerships that enable Black-owned businesses and Black communities to thrive.
  • Will there be food at the MBE?
    Food will be available for purchase at the MBE. BECMA Members, Volunteers and Exhibitors will receive one free food and beverage voucher per day. Volunteers and Exhibitors will also have access to a lounge which will feature light refreshments.
  • What is the programming for the event?
    Join us for an exhibition hall of Black-Owned businesses from across the state in our Black-Owned Pavilion, the Speaker Summit featuring 10+ panel discussions and keynote addresses, and myriad workshops and events! The agenda will be released in August 2024.
  • Can I exhibit for one day?
    Exhibition opportunities for the MBE are for the full duration of the event, and one-day exhibition options are not available.
  • Who should I contact if I have questions about my ticket?
    For any inquiries related to ADA accessibility or specific ticket-related questions, please contact us at MBE@becma.org. Our team will be happy to assist you!
  • I’m a speaker and will be bringing support staff. Will they receive a complimentary ticket?
    No, all support staff must purchase an individual ticket for the event.
  • What do I need to know about transit to the venue?
    The MCCA encourages attendees and exhibitors to take public transportation to the BCEC. For those driving, the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center has onsite valet parking, as well as paid parking options via the BCEC South Parking Lot. Parking is $25 per day. Complimentary shuttles are available to transport individuals to the main entrance of the facility. Click here for more information about directions, parking, and public transit.
  • What are the ticketing levels?
    This year’s event will offer the opportunity to register for 2-Day General Admission Tickets for the general public. If you are a 51% Black-owned business, registration is also available for to exhibit in the Black-Owned Pavilion. If you are a BECMA member interested in exhibiting in the Climate & Sustainability Experience or Supplier Diversity Services Space you can register online and will be approved to participate.
  • I changed my mind; can I get a refund?
    All ticket sales for the MBE are final. We do not offer refunds for ticket purchases.
  • Where can I purchase tickets?
    Tickets for the MBE can be purchased exclusively at MassBlackExpo.com.
  • Can I buy tickets onsite?
    While limited tickets may be available for purchase onsite at the event, we strongly encourage attendees to purchase their tickets in advance to ensure seamless access.
  • I’m a speaker for one day of the event. Can I attend other days of the MBE?
    Yes, all speakers will receive free 2-day weekend passes to the MBE.
