ABOUT THE MASS BLACK EXPO

The Mass Black Expo (MBE), hosted by the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts (BECMA), is the Commonwealth's premier event for showcasing businesses, organizations, and allies committed to building a more equitable economy. The Mass Black Expo provides an opportunity for residents across the Commonwealth to connect, exchange ideas, build relationships, and discover new pathways for business growth, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation.

Mass Black Expo 2026: Building Black Wealth — Small Business, Big Impact reflects the vital role small businesses play in strengthening local economies and creating lasting economic opportunity. Building on BECMA's Ready Set Contract initiative, the 2026 Mass Black Expo recognizes that access to procurement opportunities is a key driver of business growth and long-term sustainability. Inspired by economist Andre Perry's research that increasing the number of successful sole proprietors has a compounding effect on wealth creation, this year's Expo will explore how contracts, capital, strategic partnerships, and business development resources can help entrepreneurs grow sustainable businesses, create jobs, and build generational wealth across Massachusetts.
